Mon, 17 Sep `12: We left Dubois Sunday morning and spent the night in Cheyenne. We are now in Denver at Chatfield State Park to spend a few days with Robin, Jeff and grandbaby Siena. We will be heading towards Dallas on 26 Sep to visit daughter Ginger and then back home to Houston on 1 Oct.

Back in Dubois

Tue, 21 Aug12:  Returned to Dubois, WY after a whirlwind trip to Denver for the birth of Siena Marie.  Siena weighted 5 lb 13 oz at birth, on her two week checkup  she weighed 7 lb 4 oz!!

Denver, CO – Grandbaby Watch

Wed, 8 Aug`12:  Drove from Dubois to Denver as Robin is getting very close with the baby. 

Thur, 9 Aug`12:  No progress with the grandbaby today.

Fri, 10 Aug`12:  Still no progress.

Sun, 12 Aug`12: Taking a walk through downtown Denver.

Fri, 17 Aug`12:  Grandbaby has arrived!  8:06 pm Denver time, 16 Aug.

Sat, 18 Aug`12:  Siena was a little jaundiced and will need to stay under the lights for a couple of days.  Also had low blood sugar.  However as of today blood sugar is fine and if it stays good today will be ready to go home tonight or Sunday morning!!

Sun, 19 Aug`12:  Siena's blood sugar leveled out so she was taken off of the IV however after removal of the IV the blood sugar dropped some. Her feeding has been adjusted a bit and the blood sugar has started to rise. No word when she will go home. Thinking Sunday afternoon or maybe Monday morning. Somebody feed that baby!

Mon, 20 Aug`12:  Siena's blood test are all fine this morning and she is comming home today.

Dubois, WY – Longhorn RV

We left Robin and Jeff in Denver on Saturday and traveled to Rawlings, WY for a one night layover.  Made the trip from Rawlings to Dubois on Sunday.  Planning to be here for two months excluding a trip to Denver around the first week in August for the birth of our first grandchild.

Monday, 30 July:  New resident at the Longhorn.  Normally in years past this tree provides a fishing perch for an Osprey.  However this year you are more likely to see a Bald Eagle occupying the tree.   Appears the Eagle is the dominant fisher.

While returning from a slightly successful fishing trip to Fish Lake Doris spotted the Grizzly below on Warm Springs Road about one mile past the turn off to Trout Lake.  The bear actually gave us a few very good poses but by the time we found the cameras he had become bored and continued digging and eating.

Arrived in Denver on Friday afternoon and will be here through Friday  13, July to visit daughter, Robin, and hubby, Jeff. 

Chatfield is a very nice park and not too far from Robin’s apartment.
